Mission Statement
TownFolk is a non-profit resident organization dedicated to improving quality of life for residents and businesses in the LaPlace neighborhood of Lafayette, Louisiana. By creating a strong network of positive, forward-thinking citizens, and partnering with like-minded local businesses and organizations, we hope to restore pride to our historic neighborhood.
TownFolk promotes hand ups, not handouts. We believe in sweat equity, lending a helping hand and the true value that comes with investing in your community.

WHAT WE ARE ASKING:
We are asking for help in the form of material donations and professional services in order to see the pavillion realized in a beautiful way. The design of the project provides an opportunity for donations to be provided by organizations that are specialists in their respective field. While the main focus of the project remains with the community, we want this to be an opportunity for donors to showcase their work. This will provide the citizens of LaPlace with a lasting piece of communal architecture that instills a sense of pride among them.
